Banking jobs in compliance are amongst Singapore’s employment hotspots according to an experienced recruiting expert, Chris Mead.
He is Regional Director of recruiting experts Hays in South East Asia. He has 24 years experience in executive recruitment in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand.
Compliance specialists
Writing in the Singapore Business Review, Mead says banks are particularly interested in operational risk and compliance specialists.
Specifically, banks will be looking for people to work in anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer, and client onboarding jobs.
Changing landscape
Mead puts the increased demand for such jobs down to the consistently changing regulatory landscape and focus on control measures.
The recruitment specialist says Hays is also seeing demand for specialists in trade finance operations, change managers and risk managers.
